I'm going to be needing a new C+S set soon.
I'm thinking drop a tooth on the front, simple enough.. But... How much adjustment is available on the naked with a new chain, could I go for the S model chain length with the 14t front sprocket, and N model rear sprocket? Is there enough adjustment in the N swingarm to take up the slack and shorten the wheelbase a bit?

A tooth on/off the front sprocket will easily be taken up by your normal chain.

Yup, but I'm wanting to shorten the wheelbase a little too, well, considering it.

Why do you want to shorten the wheel base?

quicken the steering up a bit, but thinking about it further I think I'm going to leave it standard and use dogbones.

The easier way to quicken up the stearing is to raise the rear ride height and lower the front end. Do one first, check the results then perform the other. Record all starting positions and how far you change everything. Do each a small step at a time, it doesn't take much to change the steering characteristics by a large amount.
Which reminds me, after a scary moment at Paddock Hill Bend I need more rear ground clearence! |

Haven't got any room to drop the front forks, with the TL mudguard it fouls the radiator.
Going to try a jack up kit methinks.

Where can you find 14 tooth fronts?
