Default HID Kit

Anyone fitted one on there Bike on here.

I got the kit on my Car i have philips blue in the bike and they are brighter

Just wana no if anyone had any prob fittin them etc

You're not seriously saying that your Philips incandescent bulbs are brighter than proper HID capsules, are you?

You must have some proper dodgy HIDs if they are.

You've having a laugh right?

The HID is seriously bright, way ahead of any filament lamp of sensible wattage.


As for fitting, it's not a drop in replacement, but not too hard. Your's a SV or SVS?

If it's SV then you cant use northys method of fitting them to the subframe, and I would advise finding a kit with at least 3' of HT wire from the ballast, and put the ballast(s) above the battery.

Maybe you could put one ballast in front of the carbs behind the headstock, but that space on mine's been full of wiring for so long I can't remember what it should look like

For comparision, a ballast is about 20 superkings plus a bit.

I reckon the rear subframe might be a good choice for the N, opposite the reg/rec, tons of space in there and it's fairly ventilated too. That was my backup plan...
