Default Will I need to rejet?

The pipework on my curvey is looking a bit grotty and needs a damn good polish, I also have an M4 system sat in the cellar in good nick. If I put the M4 system on with my road legal quill will I need to rejet or is it the can that really controls the flow?

I know that if I take off the standard system that it will take me a while to clean it up.

Cheers

The M4 pipework is reputed to flow better and most definitely recommended for a rejetting. However, adding the wrinkle of a Quill (T3?) can makes me wonder.

I could swop you a replacement clean standard exhaust system for that pesky M4, it must be getting in the way whenever you venture into the cellar for a fresh bottle of vino...

Yes a rejet would be a good idea for an M4 system, I'm not to sure your Quill can will fit on the end of the standard M4 pipework as the M4 is a larger bore!!! Quill and most common exhaust are a 50mm bore (common for all bikes) but the M4 is larger than 54mm, I know that as my old remus didn't fit and my MOT friendly LeoVince wouldn't fit with out the modified connector!

"Oh and a tillis motor." ?

I don't know much about quills, they're the ones that are quiet at idle and loud when opened up aren't they? More or less a pure race can with a flap in it. I reckon rejetting would still be a good idea if that's right.

Their latest cans are absolutely gorgeous though, titanium pr0n.

Ah well if it needs rejetting then I'll just Autosol the stock, just cause I'm lazy.

Razor, yeah I'm always having to move it out of the way, I may junk it one of these days

Northy, that is on the other bike, this one is PBx's old bike as I was getting sick of not being on the road.

Cheers Folks

I very much doubt M4 system for a curvy will fit on TLS motor.

Also how did you get that to fit?, did you have to machine the engine mounts or the frame?

Yeah it won't fit as the cylinder offset is the opposite way round from the SV.

Blood sweat and tears, theres some mounting tabs and a couple of mounting brackets using the stock SV engine mounts and the TL.

The bike initially in question is a 'normal' SV, as I still need to sort out the airbox for the special one.

Well, the Quill can fits the M4 pipework, in case anyone else wanted to know.

Now I just need to get the bleedin front downpipe off and I'll be good to go.

Anyone got any tips? It's been dowsed with releasing oil for the past three days and still no joy.
