Default Visor Misting + Glasses Wearer

I noticed this when I was doing my lessons but also noticed it this morning when I was out riding.

When I shut my visor everything just get fogged up (including my glasses) and I struggle to see (obviously!)

I have a Shoei Raid 2. Maybe a helmet change is in order? Or is there a cheaper alternative. i.e. some anti fog spray that works? It would have to be used on my glasses aswell so those fogcity(?) inserts aren't really an option.

Thanks for the help people!

I'm also a glasses wearer.

Get a Foggy Respro mask, it deflects your breath away from the visor and more importantly also your glasses, which will stop them misting up.

Just velcros onto the inside of your lid.

Much better than messing about with fairy liquid and anti fog spray IMHO.

Shoei is a good lid, its also a good fit and you get a good seal around the visor which is why you fog up easily. My Shoei used to fog easily, but once I put the Respro mask in it it solved most of the problem then I got an insert for the visor, started with a Fogcity and then moved to a pinlock and I never fog my glasses or my visor up now.

Plus one for the foggy.....I use a slightly tinted visor most of the time which has no anti fog on, I never get any misting at all.

I got one of those pink stick things from the NEC and it`s Utter tripe , I found that having my visor slightly open stopped both glasses and visor steaming up but then the rain would make a mockery of that . I`ve decided to stop wearing the Arai Tour Cross (minus the peak) and have bagged myself an Arai RX7 on eBay , will fit a pinlock visor to that and see what occurs .

I've always left my visor open just alittle bit & was once told to control your breathing - works for me

Only breathe out whilst going above 30mph And breathe downwards It works, well, the second one works, the first one kinda works but if you start going blue then it's probably an idea to take a breath regardless.

I'm now a fully paid up disciple of the Pinlock religion, the one true religion. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on your specs, but it totally eliminates the visor misting, so you're left with half the problem. The breath guard things work too but I can't seem to get on with them, it starts to feel too cramped inside my own lid, but each to their own. They effectively ensure your breathing is vented down, you can kinda get the same effect with controlled breathing and trying to breathe in a downward direction.
