hit the 600 mile mark over the weekend, so rang my friendly salesman to book the bike in for its first service and see what i could blag for the couple of hours it was being worked on, didnt even need to ask the price , he told me straight out, " you know its between 500 and 700 quid?" . you could have picked me up off the floor!!! what have others paid? or am i being ripped off as a newbie to all this? heard in work a honda first service is always free!! that didnt really help.

They using lube with that?
First service is an absolute piece of Pi$$, you're being shafted. p.s you don't have to use same people you bought the bike from AFAIK

That is 8 times what it should be, infact most places do the first service for free!

Till him to FOAD or Badger`ll come round there and give him a knuckle supper , also tell him he will never see another penny from you again , in fact screw it , call Suzuki up and tell him that their dealer is shafting his customers .... that`ll teach him , got my blood boiling this has .

My first service was cost of parts only (so an oil filter and 4 litres of oil...), so you're very much being shafted there.
Thinking about it, the major 14.5k service was half what you're being quoted... and they had my bike all day working on it. |
