Default Fork Adjustments

Thanks everyone for your help with exhaust Q's - I'm new to this forum malarky!!

OK, simple Q, I ought to know the answer (but I don't) - how can I stiffen up the front end a little?

I've never made any adjustments to any suspensions so I wouldn't know where to start...

At the moment I'm not riding really hard (as all my past experience has been 250s on nice Australian roads!), but I plan to improve a lot this summer - but I'm a bit fed up with the front bottoming out in potholes, and I think it's a tad soft overall

What simple adjustments has anyone made, and to what effect? If it helps I'm average size chap, just shy of 11stone (thanks to the beer gut.............)

Should I make any rear adjustments at the same time?
