Default To all you wonderful iTunes users

Check 'The Cowards' out

Specially the drums and backing vocals, they have to be the best part!

Heh, I was thinking "I've heard that name before", then I realised- I remember it from last time you spammed the forum with a plug for them. Hmm.

"Richard Draper - making some kind of vague attempt at playing the drums"

You are so busted But i do like the drums Sort of reminds me a bit of the Crocketts and the Crimea at their more mellow (this is a good thing). Not a fan of the cheesy keyboards tho, I think with better keys a lot of those songs would be much stronger, especially The Cowards Are Going To War...

Try this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ij_XOM...eature=related

haha has got to be done, pretty chuffed we're on iTunes, hopefully we'll get some attention from companies if the sales go up

it is a vague attempt isn't it?

leigh the lad our keyman is top, grade 8 keys and piana, teacher with no failed students! but i suppose living daylights and the light is a tad cheesey, but we kinda liked that vibe

will listen to the youtube wehn back home - in library with no speakers

Oh aye, he's got some skills, I just thought the choice of sound was a bit odd But I think that's my bias, I really like the marching band influences in pop music, like the drums Idlewild's "American English", and some of the more recent muse and biffy clyro beats, my tastes don't really run quite in your direction so I'm thinking "I'd like that more if it was beefed up". But that's not your thing, so fair enough.

yeah well i never would have thought i'd be in a band like this... used to be into rock a lot and was in a heavy punkrock band

but it's good fun, and although i will always love the classic rock stuff, wider tastes from beatles to irish folk i enjoy!

Ohh your on iTunes

Big deal

Anyone with any sense avoide iTunes as a pile of DRM encumbered ..............

And I also dont understand why anyone would WANT to be signed by a big label anyways - slavery seems preferable from what I see they do.

Just get yourself a decent website and a Paypal account.

Offer your stuff @ low-bitrate quality and accept donations.

Ignore what Radiohead did - they got it wron, but look at what Trent Reznor did with the last NIN release Ghosts - sold out of the 2500 Limited edition sets @ $300/each in 3 days - and all going to him/them (minus production costs)

That is, I feel, the future of music distribution, give it away, but sell "premium" products.

Bands should make their living from performing/touring, not sitting on their backsides moaning about how "piracy" is hurting them (Metallica - I'm looking at you)

Jeez, get off the soap box. People who come marching along and bang the DRM drum are just those who aren't willing to cough up and pay for what someone else has produced.
