Default TRE Mod Problem

Hi, I have a SV650s K6 (2006) which I fitted a TRE mod to, after fitting the bike starts fine but the red warning light stays on where the temp is displayed it alternates between temp and FI. I have followed the instructions on how to make, using 15ohm resistor and fitting between the pink and black wires after removing from the plug, I left only the blue wire in and then reconnected the plug. I was using a 15 ohm 3w resistor (is this OK?). Has anyone else seen this if so how I can I fix.

Hi
dont know if this is anything to do with your problem but you say you fitted a 15 ohm resistor, well I fitted a 15kohm resistor as in diy tre instructions and have had no problems, it maybe that you need the 15k and not the 15 ohm resistor, ps 3 watt should be ok mine is 2.5 watt rated.

Think it might be to do with 15ohm as opposed to 15k, have now got right resistor will fit tonight and report back.
