2pc Leathers Joining Zip - SV650.org

Has anyone got the zip that comes with jackets that you can get stitched on to your trousers?

I know theres different ones, I'm after one for a Teknic jacket - but any you don't need might fit.

I had an extra zip added to my Tecniks to make them an inch or so longer by Nine Lives in Farnborough. The service was excellent, I walked in, showed him what I wanted and he said to pop back in an hour or so. Had a bimble in HG and Infinity then went back to collect my jacket. He had an extra zip cut to size and sewn together and he also repaired the original zip where it was coming away from the jacket. Admittedly it cost 30 squid but the leathers are a much better fit now, amazing what an extra inch in length can do.....
Give them a call if you cant find anybody closer. I would even say that sending your leathers to them would be worthwhile.

I have got the other half of the zip that came with my leather pants (full length) so that it could be put into a jacket which I have going spare. If it is any good to you then drop me a PM with your address and I'll post it to you.

Pop in the bike shops to see who they get to do their alterations. Gerry is recommended down here and she charges 1 quid per inch of zip, then gives 10% discount to certain forum members (including this one!).

Yeah, if the zip that Daze is sending me don't fit then that's my next plan.
