Default fitting a transponder

Hi,

I need to fit a transponder to my bike and its one of the permanent powered version that takes anything from 10-30 volts so I should be fairly safe.

Basically because I have not got any front lights etc I have just got the connector there and was wondering if I could use this to power the transponder, unfortunaly I have not got the old fairing with me so can't work out which wires I need to use.

Can anyone tell me which colours the headlight negative and postive are on the bike side of the connector.

Cheers

also for anyone who has fitted a transpoder where excaulty did you put it on a svs03, trying to find clear sight of the ground isnt as easy as I thought.

Black/White will be the -ve side, either of the other two colours on the headlamp will provide the +ve (presuming main light switch is on and that beam is selected on the dip switch).

Also, if this is a track transponder, the normal place to fit one is on the upper part of the fork leg, between the two yokes - mounted such that it is clamped to the leg, but on the/facing the fairing side.

Hope that answers your question.
