Default Wiring connectors?

Alright? I have an issue with the SV......
Every so often, especially when it rain's, I turn the key in the SV but get nothing at all. Giggle the crap out of the wire that leads from the bottom of the lock and hey presto the fooker boots up!
Took out the airbox yesterday to trace where this cable leads and just below the airbox is a green wiring connector that links it to the main loom.
When I take this apart the cable that is black with a thin red line along it has melted in the connecter. The green plastic is black and crusty around the cable and this is clearly "part" of the issue. I bodged the connector back togeather for better contact at this point. There are four cables linked by this connector and the others are fine.
Sooooo... my question is...
Can you buy these connectors from anywhere or do I need a new loom and locks?
What does this cable lead to and why would it short at this point and could there be an issue elsewhere with the electrics?
Anyone seen this before?
Cheers

Kinda strange, the ignition connector has 6 pins.

I'm talking about the green connector directly connected to the ignition lock.

Mine only has 4 cables, same as wiring diagram says.

Bought some Superseal connectors so gonna replace with that.

Cheers.
