Default powder coated parts

hi,

would any one be intrested in powder coated frame, swing arm, pair of forks, and set of yokes? (and any other parts?)

i would fit new seals and fill the forks with new oil, put uprated springs in if anyone wanted.

let me know and i will look into it

a rough gestimate would be

second hand swing arm - £25
powder coating and transit - £60-70
fit new bearings - £30-50
total £115-145

second hand forks - £80-120
powder coating and transit - £60-70
fit new oil seals, dust seals, o-rings, and fork oil £40-50
fit uprated springs - £50-60 (dependign on springs required)
total £230-300

I would envisage a pile of hassles with the DMV. I am looking at paint for my bike, but even if I didn't live half way around the world, I wouldn't touch such an arrangement.

Assuming that you are doing a community service and not out to make money for yourself... It might be easier to find yourself a painter who does good work at a good price, get yours done, show some pics and give him (or her) a recommendation in the forum.

Just my 2c worth

agreed, not such a good idea for the frame.

but the other parts, most painters would not strip down and rebuild/refurb a set of forks etc
