From a lot of Landrover fixing experience, give it a good soaking with WD40, at least over night and try again. Failing that, find a tube to fit over your existing handle. Failing that, get someone to do it for you . Good luck.

Cheers! I've just sprayed a load of gt85 on it, so hoping that will help tomorrow...

Have you got a tube or something you can slide over the end of the wrench to make it longer and create more leverage?

And try tightening it slightly - sometimes helps to loosen a tight bolt.

Putting a big pipe over a ratchet will make it go "crunch" You need a cracking bar.

Although after a few attempts and some more oil it came loose! Think my wrench may be a little worse for wear though, it was cheap and has lasted years though, may invest in some decent tools so I dont have to do all this stuff and break more things...

Little tired thsi morning, and figured out after 3 mins of elbow grease i was tightening it...in the end, I decided it was a subconcious decision to get it loose...

A wrench isn't a rachet so it won't go crack as there are no moving parts!
