SV650S curvy battery

Does anyone know the model number or part numer or code for a new battery on my sv650s curvy 2000 w reg. i thinks the make of the last battery i had began with a Y, and the number for the battery ended in AB or BS OR AS not too sure.

sorry i am very vague but i need to go and buy a new battery 2nite and i would not be going home first to check the old one.

any help would be brilliant.

if its a bike shop your going 2 for it they should no what one you need for the bike.

unfortunately its halfords, i need the battery for tonite, and thats the only place open till 8:00pm to get one since im at wok now till 6:00pm.

a ryt can they not still tell tho?they useally have big catlogs that tell them that sort of stuff.

i dont have a curvy other wise i would just say what battery i have.

according to the clymer manual it is YT12A-BS

Yup that's alright, there's one thats the same size with more CCA, but it's summer and if you ride your bike then there's no point.

I make sure that if there is an alternative type, that they are positive that its correct. Someone once sold me an 'alternative' insisted it was right, got it home and the damn thing were too tall

So YT12A-BS insist on it
