Fitted my Beowulf stubby to my sv last night!!
![]() ![]() Before I get round to firing her up for the first time tho... is there a specific torque I need to tighten the link pipe clamps up to? The Haynes manual says 23Nm for all exhaust bolts and was gonna tighten the clamps to that, but just to check it's ok... Hope it sounds good! Cheers loads ![]() |

Til its nice and hand tight is enough, don't try over doing it as you will strip the thread on the clamp!

i just put a beowulf stubby on mine about 3 weeks ago - it sounds immense! I tightened the nuts until they were 'tight' i.e. tightening anymore would probably have sheared the bolts off. Once fitted, I took it for a run - 5 mins into the run I pulled over to make sure nothing was going to fall off. Then when I got home an hour later, I nipped all the bolts (one of which turned an extra half turn). Asside from that, there's nowt else to it
![]() did you fire it up with no exhaust on at all? ![]()

Tighten them till the pipe crushes flat, then back off one turn

Aye, that they do - when I took it for a ride it was awesome! It pops when I change gear
![]() Minor point - do you have the gothic-type writing on the side of the zorst? The one I got has a different style on it, I'll try to post a pic if I get the chance. No complaints tho! Next step - remove the baffle bwah hah ha ![]() |
