bikes running on 1 cyl atm due to rain (getting fender extender fitted) but riding it home like this wont damage it will it? 20miles to ride :/ seems to be getting better during the day (started it up a few times to warm it up n sprayed some wd40 where the plug is)

Shouldn't do, but I'd get it sorted soon as, worst thing is if it kicks in when your riding things could get a tad hairy for awhile. Carry a tin of contact cleaner round with you till you get sorted.

ok well tried to start it this morn n still running like a bag of ****, i presume i will have to clean the front spark plug too? rode bout 30 miles on 1 cyl so i take it, it will be covered in crap or could be fouled? also is it easy to get the front plug out?

To get to the front plug, you'll need to undo the bottom bolt on the radiator & move it forwards a little.
After that, use the plug socket that came with the bike, it's jointed for a reason. I reckon TBH that the plug will of corroded like mine did. It worked intermittantly, but at the sign of clouds packed in. WD40 down inside the plug hole as well (after cleaning the drain hole), and let it evaporate a little before you hit the starter. |

Be very careful riding it in that condition - there was one guy on here who had quite a serious accident when the cylinder kicked back in when he was rounding a bend in the wet

Silicon grease round the plug cap seal after you get everything clean.
A little copper grease on the plug threads also to prevent it siezing in place. |
