How instant is Paypal?

If i make a payment to someone how quick will it be visible in thier Paypal account??? Is it really a case of the click of a mouse and then the refreshing of a page and its thiers???

Almost......that is if you use a card stored on the account etc

Depends if they use an "e-cheque" - they take 7 days.

And the rest. I've been known to wait 2 weeks for an e cheque to clear.

@op, assuming you have funds in your paypal account then yes should be instant.

e cheques are a pain in the bum!

i just boguth a chain guard off ebay. when iwas paying through paypal, i hit the pay button too quick. it was asking me to update my card which had expired. when i looked up the transaction i had paid, tho wouldnt clear for 6 or 7 days. so, i contacted the seller, asking them if i could pay again (as id updated my card), of which i did, and it wasnt instant.
i got the guard today, th ohavent checked if he (maybe she!) has credited me.

I unintentionally sent you a cheque from the wrong cheque book, from an account i currently have no funds in. Anyway, sorry for the accident, you have now been "Paypalled" and PM'd.
