Hey all.
Anyone out there with a 2001 sv650s (or similar electrical system) running 12V 55W headlight bulbs in place of the original 12V 45W bulbs? Any heat issues? Electrical issues? All the stores around here (bike and auto alike) have tons of selection for 55W bulbs, but a 45W bulb will be at least 7-10 days out... Cheers! -Troy |

Usual choice over here is to use osram nightbreakers as they're ace compared to the standard candles.
They're a 60/55w bulb, not heard of any problems at all, the alternator can easily cope.

Changed mine about one week after buying my 2001 curvy, ran like that for 6 years with no issues.
