Does anyone own one or have any knowledge about them? What is the wind protection like on thier double bubble screens and do they look decent???
I am just deciding whether to get an Airblade screen or something more like a Zero Gravity/Fabbri so any advice appreciated...

Dont know whether you have a pointy or curvey, but ive got one on my pointy. Im happy with it, but the double bubble is not as pronounced as other screens. It is basically just a steeper gradient that keeps the wind off you, but doesnt look too big on the bike. I can post some pics up for you if you'd like.

it is what they class a double bubble. its very gental and you have to look fot it. but it does have shape and it is alot better than the original. plus they are bit cheaper i paid 45 pounds for it new.

Have a look at this thread, Patrick..............especially post 24.
We think the Powerbronze screen is more effective, but Pete thinks the Airblade looks better on the bike. http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=103920

Had an airblade on the SV before it got crashed, and was never massively impressed with it. It looks good, basically just a slightly higher and extended stock-screen (looks great in dark tint on a blue curvey), and the wind-protection was a little better, but the fit was very poor around the mirror-area, to the point where the screen developed tiny stress-cracks after having the mirrors on and off a few times. These gradually got bigger and bigger, and had the crash not wrecked it, it was due to be replaced anyway!
Have since got a Skidmarx screen in the same shade of dark-tint, and it looks fantastic. It's changed the airflow quite drastically over the bike, to the point where I get buffetted if I'm sar upright at speed, but the moment I drop my head two or three inches there's virtually no drag at all and very little noise. |
