For viewing documents?
I need a device that I can store and view PDF's, Word docs, Excel sheets, jpegs etc, that is easy to use and hard to break (although I know that the stupidity of some is pretty tough to beat). The bigger the screen the better. It also needs to be a phone and have a reasonably good contact manager. (Price isn't really a problem as long as its impressive) All recommendations are welcome! Thanks! |

You want a Notexistium P666.
Fits in your pocket but has a 22" simulated screen and a case made of unobtanium. Very exepnsive and hard to find, but give me £3m and 10 years and you can have it, or your money back.

I use a HP HX4700 PDA with aluminium casing, I haven't broke it yet and does all the stuff a PC does pretty much.
depends how big of a screen you want, big for a PDA is 4", but even the entry level EEE PC has 7" so its horses for courses. |

BlackBerry 8800 with Repligo is what you need. We use them at work for on-call and will do everything you want, plus being a phone and email client, and they're reliable and robust.
Give Paul McCormick at Astute a ring (www.astutedata.co.uk) and tell him Dan sent you. |

HTC Excalibur (S260) is a superb bit of kit - it runs Windows Mobile 6 and supports MS Office docs and .pdf
