would you buy one? Say you spotted one reasonable price, low mileage, strange colour but chap admits its been resprayed cos its had a prang...I want to chop my ZX6R in for something no less comfortable and might give this a go before returning to the Hornets nest....

They're good all-round bikes, felt very roomy when I had a little go on one, not too slow and still very predictable engine. Reminded me of the CBR600F. Might not be that exciting after a ZX6R though!

Yes there were reports of early fuelling issues, a result of triumph letting buyers do the final testing for them. I believe mostly sorted with the later released fuelling maps or a little dyno time. The TT has the sagem EFI so it's very adjustable without spending on powercommanders and stuff.
It also has suspension which is reckoned to work better on the road than jap stuff. If I wanted an IL4, I'd have one.

The TT600 is probably the cheapest way of getting ss6 performance for your £, much overlooked to be honest, if anything it handles better than your zx6 Pete, whilst the looks are at best " down to personal taste", the chassis and brakes are first rate, suspension is pretty good as well and inline with all the others of the time, in fact they kept the chassis basically unchanged for both the Daytona 600 & 650, it really was that good. If I was in the market for a SS6, then I'd have one again, although to be honest I'd probably have the daytona 600/650 as it has all the same stuff as the tt600, but I like the design more. Cheers Mark.

No, better bikes out there the same age that do the same job and cost less. Sorry Triumph.

Care to suggest alternatives and why?

So, why?
The cash seems fairly moot as the era we're looking at the money is similar. I'd probably have the CBRF, but I like carbs and easy to obtain parts. (lets face it there's more wrecked CBR's out there than owt else)
