i binned it!! soooo damn angry with myself. big group formed infront and someone decided to slam on the anchors, so i did too, but did a little too much, locked up the front and went down hardish on the left side. broken clutch lever, footpeg bracket, gear leaver, bent the gear pushrod thingy and put a symetrical scratch on the tail unit . slight bruise to my hip/thigh other than that fine. leathers stood up well again, though not very impressed with my new HG gloves, the left one just sort of disintigrated.

managed to drive the van out into hinckley to a suzuki dealership. guy there rummaged around in a draw and found a new gear and clutch leaver and bodged a footrest bracket out of another suzuki one (and only charged me £15 for the lot!!), which i then had to hacksaw and file a little (thanks peter for those tools!!). managed to put most of it back together myself, just needed help with the pushrod connection. i got back out and did all the afternoon sessions bar the last one (which i would've done if the bodged footrest bracket hadn't started to come loose!!).

sooo mr jackhammer......... got any bits left from your bike? like a footpeg mount?

He's ine - the bike isn't too bad actually! The DHM's really save the bike.

So a new rear set and bar end and all will be good I think!

He he. Poor Chris. I was about 30 feet behind him and it's got to be said it wasn't the cleanest off. "LET GO OF THE BIKE!" Loads of smoke from the wheel so must've been locked for quite a distance. The tiny patch of petrol/cement dust left caused another off later in the day but I've no idea how. Must've only been a foot square.

Very eventful day overall. EVERYONE (Yippee!) got their knee down, I was bashed by another bike and then in the same session very nearly taken off by a complete t**t. Not sure if there was contact or not.

Good day but lots of idiots out there.

Have all the pics been posted Peter?

i really do need to lend to let go of it, thouhg i think i may have stopped it from hitting the bloke in front of me

i think that caused 2 crashes in the end (not that i was going to go and find out!!)

i think the problem was because there was only a novice and an intermediate group (the 3rd groiup was a coaching day of some sort). there were a lot of people in novice who should've been in intermediates if not advanced!! but there just some right prats too.

Sorry for the pics I turned up and straight away an SV went down so took a pic, wasnt sure if you were part of the .org or not until I spoke to you after.

Some of the riding was pretty poor and bang out of order on the day though really, which was fairly plain to see from the side line, suprised some people didnt get sin binned.

The marshalls also did a crap job of clearing up spills, chucking dust down then not sweeping/clearing, two falls were for that very reason. I didnt think there was enough staff to be honest but thats probably a cost thing so cant complain to much lol.

Damn enjoyable day though.

F**ked up.

Leastways that's what it's usually referred to as .

Glad you're not hurt/too much damage etc etc.
