Default Great day!

I was at a bit of a loose end today, so decided to go out on the bike ... lovely day and all that .. went for a burn out and about in the countryside ... it was really relaxing ... I then found myself in town, so went to the shops and bought a smaller rucksack as these days my bike rucksack is just silly and it has been annoying me (anyone who has seen my bike rucksack of truth will see where I am coming from here!! ) ... I then decided to go to Hayling Island - been there before, but never ventured far as there has been no need ... as the name implies, its kinda a local impasse - as such probably lots of inbreeding ... ... no need to go in there normally - but it is actually known as one of the nicer seaside places round here ... anyhoo, found myself on the beach front in Hayling and stopped off at the arcades ... for some reason I started playing on one of those things where you put your 10p in, it falls down onto a little shelf that moves back and forth (which has other coins on it - you are trying to dislodge existing coins to push them off the bottom shelf into the collection tray at the bottom) ... didn't take long before I was £1.50 down there!! ... so I walked away ...

After passing by the 'crane' machine and looking to see if I could win a teddy, I then saw another machine like the one I had just been playing on ... but it has a 1-arm-bandit thing in the middle and you fed the coins in at the bottom ... it was like 2 games in one so I was sucked in ... basically if the coin fell past a certain part on its way down to the moving shelf, it rolled the 1-arm-bandit thing inside ... otherwise it acted just like the above. I managed to get a coin in the 1-arm-bandit thing a few times, and finally got 3 X X X ... it then fired about 5 coins at once ... into the mechanism .. but not a single coin dropped out the bottom ... I was about £2 down on that one now so about to call it quits ... fed in my last one and got about 30p back out ... ... thought I'd cut my losses, so got off the seat and started to wander off ... to my giddy joy, more money came out at this point!! ... added it up and there was ~£2 there, so I had broken even on that machine ... with bounty in hand, I sped the dude at the change point to cash me in (give me 2 pound coins instead of 20 10p's) ... ready to set off now, I turned round and headed out ... sadly I was then lured into the 2p-a-go 1-arm-bandit ... 60p later and I realised I should go!!

Just shows how truly exciting my life (and Hampshire) gets at times!!

They have actually thrown quite a bit of money at Fareham town centre these past few years and jazzed it up a fair bit*!!

I had an even better time. I was to follow Anne Sophie and MIL (they in car) to Much Wenlock. Only I didn't follow them as I couldn't resist overtaking at some speed and noise, much to MIL's great consternation
