I went down there today and got a PR2 180/55 section fitted for £129. I know some of you on here have been ripped off so I thought id share this. The SV's PR2's are £10 cheaper. I also got the back filled with ultra seal for £20 and the front re seated and re valved for £10, had a slow leak...
it only took 20 mins to change the rear, but I watched them work and chatted ******** with them while they worked. Check the site out, here is a link to the tyre's available. http://www.national.co.uk/order_mtyres.asp Here is a link to find your nearest National Tyre's. http://www.national.co.uk/branches.asp Im not 100% if they all do bikes, just ring and ask and you should be A OK. ![]() Hope this helps. Sorry to those who it is too late... At least youll know for next time. Cheers, Nick |

Barnsley branch is supposed to be a bike specialist, but Doncaster isn't - even they admit it.

I got mine form National in Edinburgh, only 1 branch does them and you have to take your wheels off if you want them to do it they won't do that for you. I got the tyres there and then took them to Saltire Suzuki to fit, saved £30 over what Saltire wanted but they said themselves they can't match because they aren't a big company, fair enuf. National were great and quick to deliver

I remember calling around ages ago, and the local National garage told me that they'd love to, but they're not insured. Still £119 (for an SV PR2) is a bit steep for me. Knock another £10 off & you'll be about the price I pay. |

Yea thats why I think this is a thing on the side. Its a shame this is the case though as im sure they would make a decent amount of money out of the extra business. ![]() |

You can always tell the quality of workmanship and decency of prices by the number of other bikes there. ![]() The tyre shop I use always has 3-4 other bikes either being done before me, or waiting for me to finish. There's also generally 5-6 cars there either being changed or waiting. |
