Default Zzr250

Does any one knwo any thing about the ZZR250?

ive a friend who has one and the cam chain makes a racket. local kawk wants stupid money to do it as its old and not worth their time. ive never had one apart and neither has my friend.

does any one know any thing about them?

local dealer recomend he ride it till it die then move on but my friend has grown attached to this bike. and quite right its a nice machine and well worth keeping it running.

thought id just pick the wise brains of the org.

any help appriciated.

There's a lot (a serious amount) of information on US sites as that's a very, very popular bike over there. Have a search on google, should turn up something pretty quick.

Is it a rustle or a rattle?

All Kwaks rattle and sound like a bag of spanners when cold ,its a well known Kwak characteristic.

Replacing a camchain tensioner is a half hour job, and the ZZR250 one is, I'm pretty sure, the same as the GPX250, GPZ250 and the Ninja 250R that's just landed on our shores.

I can almost guarantee it'll be the tensioner and not the camchain itself
