Is someone regularly getting their pegs/toe down a good sign or bad sign??
Good - perceived as fast? Bad - If the bike is that far over, it might not be far away from things going horrible wrong. - might simply mean they are not hanging off correctly Is it desirable to admit you get your tow down often? |

Depends on the bike your riding, the style you ride, the road you ride and so many more things. The answer is not definable just by the what you have written.
On the SV I have to be doing some serious speed and lean angle to get the pegs down. On the Dullsville I ground the pegs at just about every single corner I turn. |

On my way to work I ride bolt upright (as wearing textiles) so I am just leaning the bike over quite far to be able to scrape pegs/toes. I don't see that as a bad thing really as I am still in control. I do this at roundabouts and on the sliproad to the M3 (junction 3 towards London). If you are getting your pgs down it just means you shouldn't lean it much more.

Not sure - I regularly get the pegs down on the Zed - at a recent trackday I spent most corners grinding them - but I am not sure its a good thing - I dont seem to move my body very much so use the pegs as a lean gauge...

I had my left peg and gear lever down at Rockingham on my gixxer. Not just scuffed, but properly dragging. Granted I crashed in the next session so I was obviously trying too hard! The bike felt completely stable like that although I must have been pretty much at the limit.
As Bigape said though, it depends on the type of bike and how much you're leaning off doesn't it? |

My toes always scrap on tight corners, which is why I now move my feet back so that the ball of my foot is on the peg, just before the corner. It's mostly because I have big feet, which makes my feet stick out to the side

Its bad if you toes are scraping because of bad form. Keep the balls of your feet on the pegs, not your heel/bridge of the foot. If the peg is scraping still, then you have a large lean angle, maybe not that safe on a public road that can be poorly maintained, but nothing inherently wrong with it IMO

The SV has little ground clearance so it isnt too bad. It is pushing a little hard for the road though, you need to be careful if you are regularly doing it on the road!
