Go 2nd hand as the new price is a bit much...the GSR 600 should be cheap.

you see iv thought about the hornet 600 but theres no local honda garages round here so it would be hard to replace things under warranty? im not sure how it works really

sod buying a new one! hornets are pretty much bulletproof so i shouldnt worry too much about things failing in warranty, or ever for that matter.
have a look here www.hondahornet.co.uk have owned two and they are the biggest hoot. will commute no problem but also lend themselves very well to being thrashed to within an inch of their life! if you do go down that route you could get a good 1998 for 1500ish but if you have more cash aim for the most recent you can as you get a bigger fuel tank and 17" front wheel. admittedly i havent ridden the 650 bandit but riding the older ones back to back i think the hornet is way ahead. |

I quite like them. They'er comfy, easy to ride and if you stir the gearbox you can have alot of fun on them, they do take a little more effort to get it to turn in though. The faired one makes an excellent long distance commuter.
It does tend to wobble about on the suspenion when you're pressing on a bit, and it doesnt feel as sporty to ride as an SVS does though.

Yeah...if it is a new price with the 2 year warranty then that is a good buy.
Not sure what Custard is on about...you can buy a FireBlade for that money which is far better than the Hornet! Buy what suits and a new machine won't have any hidden problems and the Warranty at least helps. |
