I'm thinking of disconnecting the doorbell for the day.. I don't mind them knocking but hearing the doorbell all night irritates me

I found out on Tuesday that there is a big fireworks display across the road from me on 31st. Nice of them to let me know as I'm now rushing around trying to get hold of the owner of a horse that is living in my field. He needs moving as there will be BIG mortars and rockets.

So I'll be at the fireworks and then taking my daughter out for a meal as it is her birthday on the 31st.

Don't they have to let nearby residents know?

Even if they don't, you think they'd have the decency to post a letter through your door letting you know..

I always wanted to get a smoke machine and some red lights and strobes, and maybe some sound effects, fill the hall with Evil and traumatise some kids
