Do the RS1600i's really go for that sort of money.

Kerry's Granddad (RIP) had one which had about 20k on the clock a couple of years ago and was in perfect condition......I think it was sold to a boyracer for £500 who 'chavved it up'

Agreed, i would like the set. Series 1 RST, 1600i in blue, Mk2 RS2000, Mk1 Mexico and my old Mk1 XR2 back (Very modified). Cant beat a bit of Dagenham's finest

my old man bought a brand new mark one in 71, immediately tore the wings off and put massive flarred arches on, dropped a 2 litre lump in, armstrong struts, 6j's (i think)...i'll dig out some photos of it and scan it. immensly quick car, and fair play to the lad for carving up the family car...
