. . . . . . . ...Why you may ask? Well, having spent last week in the Lake district/Cumbria/North & West Yorkshire on holiday with the wife and kids and trying to avoid motorways as far as possible, I was forced to drive the most spectacular biking roads...in a Honda FRV ![]() Finally I got to the Ribblehead Viaduct as seen in so many photo's and continued along to Skipton...spent some time in Hawes and surrounding areas and also did the kirkstone pass to mention but a few! Next time I shall be on the bike! And although we both loved it, er' indoors still won't move north...because she'll be too close to her family in Halifax then, and she doesn't want that ![]() Go Figure... |

If you get chance to spend a bit of time up in the lakes have a run over the Wrynose Pass and Hardknott Pass with a run up past Wast Water to Wasdale Head, kind of makes Kirkstone look a bit mild. The Honister Pass is worth a visit as well though Ive not yet tried any on the SV yet, maybe next year

Honister pass is ace. Wasdale road is ace (you've got to be really hungry to eat in the wasdale head inn though ... ker-CHING!!££!!££!)
Little further down on the B roads of the dales is good fun too, can be very blind and sinister. Halifax is fine at 8am ... not like any of the denizens are up and about going to work is it.
