Hi all,
Everytime I try to take my curvy out of the garage, the front wheel is really stiff, as if the brakes have seized on? Does anyone else have this problem? It loosens up straight away when I pull away, but as I have to reverse the bike out of the garage, it is a bit of a nuisance! Since I have bought the bike, I have only ever ridden it in bad conditions, so I have had to clean it really thoroughly every time I have had a ride out. Someone said it may be because I am putting it away with the brakes wet, but if anyone knows if it sounds like something else, please can you let me know! A pal with a new SV has had a simlilar problem. Many thanks! |

Sounds like your brake calipers are binding a little. You will do yourself a favour if you have them serviced. Mine used to do it a lot at this time of year...I don't recommend you get to the stage of tapping them with rubber mallets.
Its all the crap off the road getting caught up in them.

Cheers for that! Makes sense with the amount of crap I have been having to wash off the rest of the bike!

Get stripping.
I pulled faces when I first saw someone doing this job but it's so easy there is not much that can go wrong. Get them pads out, pistons out, seals out, clean, grease, assemble, bleed, DONE |

Putting a bike away wet will always make the pads stick no mater how clean they are anyways
