Default Can anyone rate this HG kit?

Jacket http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/p...oducts_id/2513

Trousers http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/p...oducts_id/2521

Is it worth the money? tried the jacket on in store and it felt sturdy and didn't slip on the arms etc. If you can't be bothered to click the links its the HG Tricky II PSX Kit.

I have the pants, very, very comfy they are too!

Totally waterproof, bit short in the leg for me, but with high boots, not a problem. They have a waist zip (both parts) so you can sew it to your jacket. They are warmish without the liner, very warm with it in. In bright sun shine, the breathability of the Goretex is a life saver.

Overall, 10/10

Come on people, more replies please!! I'm very interested in that jacket but £240 is a lot to fork out. The armour does feel very snug, and it has a level 2 back protector. Someone on here must have one...!?!

My Dad just bought it too, he said it's great but you're right it is expensive, where does level 2 lie compared to a knox? Is there any way to get money off, my experience with HG has been stubborn so far when it comes to money off!

I'm 6'2", but it's mostly leg, when I sit down, I'm average height! The pants come up about half way up my boots when really tucked up, usually, about a third.

These boots.

For a kick off, change the armour for the HG Sport armour, it's about the best you can buy, secondly, junk the back protector and buy a proper full length one. You can't really go wrong with HG Goretex kit.

Give me one good reason why you should get money off? HG are a shop, not a backstreet market trader. Just accept the price and pay up. If they wanted to sell it cheaper they'd simply reduce the prices... and then you could watch quietly as yet another bike shop closes down.

Level 2 (or more specifically CE Level 2 Impact performance in accordance with EN 1621-2) is the higher standard, but the problem is that the built in armour covers a much smaller area than the full length protectors that Lozzo is talking about.
