Right then, i've been after a piece of classical music for years, i don't know who the composer is or the title. Good start i hear you say.
It goes something like...."Tah...Taah..Tatata...da...da...dada..da.. .daaaaa ![]() ![]() I heard it on "Stephen Fry in America" on Sunday evening, it was just after he visited Mount Rushmore he then went on to visit some Indian carving in the mouintain side, Crazy Hoss or some other fella, it was at that point the music started. I think the programme is on i-player but due to being on a works server i'm limited to what i can and can't access. T'is driving me doolally. Pint for the winner ![]() |

Its not a classical piece as far as I remember, its from the 60's 70's like a tubular bells type...maybe mistaken though

I think you're right about the 70's, i seem to remember the video of it with a rose having petals being blown off, or that might have been an advert.

It was first used in the early 80's as the theme to a programme called "The Life and Times of Lloyd-George". I believe that is what the piece of music is called.
Oh yeah, and it was written and performed by Ennio Morricone. Pint of Magners please - saturday night at Alex and Vix' will be fine ta.
