Default 2007 sv

Based on the USA.

I am in the market for an SV, but all the local dealers have ran out.

They don't have any left over from 2008 and Gladius is not here yet.

I found a dealer 65mi away from home that has a Zero miles left over 2007, but it is November 2008...

Why would they have that bike for so long, why isn't it gone by now...

Anyways, they are willing to let me have it for $5K USD out the door...

Is that a good price for a new 2007 bike ?

To be honest not many are going to know about US prices - so a lot will be guesses. What do the bikes go for normally?

Btw what is the reference to the Gladius about - just in case you were thinking it replaced the SV, I gather it doesn't - so can you not just get a 2009 bike?

Btw, when I say what the bikes go for normally, I mean what's the sticker price of a 2009 bike?

Many reasons, the common here in the UK is that everybody wants the latest colours despite the bikes being the same.

Thank you for replying Muffles...

Here in the US the Gladius will be replacing the SV Naked since there is no 2009 SV Naked.

We do have a continuation on the dress style, so there is a 2009 SV650SF.

The original prices for the Naked were as follow MSRP:

2007 $5949 or $4620 used KBB, I found a left over bike for $5000 OTD
2008 $5999 Naked
2009 $6499 Gladius

Cool, if in fact that is the reason then I don't have a problem with that...

But I must admit that it is worry some to me, I start to think is there a valid reason why no one else wanted this particular bike, is there anything wrong with it...

Its a mass produced bike and as long as it comes with the full warranty then I would snap it up.

Well, yeah it will come with the standard manufacturer warranty that covers some things for a period of 1yr.

The dealer always try to sell me the ez-pass extended warranty but I never buy it and for the last 3 bikes I have gotten new, I knock on wood, I have never had any need for the extended warranty, these Suzuki bikes are really reliable...

Yeap, if they are looked after they are very reliable. The problem is the SV is an ideal first bike, many new riders approach the maintenance and care in a similar way to a car. I have a bike here that has only ever been serviced, no replacement parts have been fitted due to failures (this includes the Reg/Rec).

I bought my SV650 Naked in October and it is a K7 have no problems with it and i think it is no different to the 2008.

Happy SVing

Not sure about price but mine was £3999 as it had a £400 cash back. When your rates were $2 to the £ then it would make the one you mention £2500 which is a steal, but then we live in RIP OFFFFF Britain.
