I'm not getting a dial tone and don't know what else to check.Any1 that could help?
Setup is Thomson 585 modem router (O2 branded) and Linksys SPA2102. Linksys is connected to the Ethernet port 3 of the Thomson modem. SIP provider is Voipbuster. I think I have port fwded the 5060 port on the Thomson to the Linksys and on the Linksys it says registered for the line...........but no dialtone ![]() |

Do you get a dialtone with a VOIP phone? have you tried entering the number first and then pressing the call button, similar as to how you'd use a mobile phone?

Have you tried wiring eth on the computer via the Linksys to the TG585?
As in, unplug the computer ethernet cable from the router, plug that into the Linksys. Once that's done, leave the Linksys connected to the router. Does the computer have an internet connection like that? If not, I'd be guessing that the Linksys isn't setup correctly in the Thomson router. Also, ensure that UPnP is enabled on the router. Let me know how you get on. ![]() |

what you mean "calling the voip number" I only have an outgoing line.....cannot receive calls as voipbuster won't give you any numbers at the moment

i dont think voipbuster have peering agreements with other providers, i use voipfone and have no problems at all, ive used it with a Sipura TA/Granstrom Handset and a few other things.
