Unclaimed Lottery Prizes

Was just checking my lottery numbers online and out of interest clicked on the unclaimed prizes. I can`t believe that people have winning lottery tickets and haven`t bothered to claim their prize!!!! There`s people out there sitting on a fortune!!!

yup in our local shop there is a load of unclaimed prizes from the shop...dunno how they know..one of them is 12 grand.....welll if they don't want it ..I DO

I lost a ticket once, and im sure i was a winner!

I have had my numbers come up though, the line i always play. However, it was on a wednesday and i only played on a saturday. I think i have played 4-5 times since. I used to play it every week.

thats what happens when folk buy tickets while drunk then lose them or put it into the wash the next day.

Do unclaimed prizes goto the charities or the company profits???

Good point...where do the unclaimed prizes go? How long do people have to claim them? I wish I could win the lottery but I never will (playing it in the first place would be a good start ...)
