Cool Kevlar Jeans

Hi

I am not a leather person, so was looking for clothes that look as normal as 'heaven forbid' that I might have got the bus/car to wherever I was going.

What are Kevlar Jeans like?? any body got them, love them/loathe them... if not Kevlar anything else out there that looks like normal day to day wear but still offers protection etc.

Thanks

They're good light protection but not quite leather.

On a more practical note, forgoing Leathers the only other option would be proper textiles with full fitted armour, although anything that looked "normal" won't be effective at the armour will move in the even of an off, so you'll need straps to hold it in place and they don't look "normal".

However, in the good weather and for fairly relaxed riding the Kevlar jeans option are better than regular jeans and have the pockets (in some) to house armour.

Draggin
Hood
RS
Red Route
Voto
Hardas
Bulletproof*

Are just some of the makes available, each have their own merits and range from £50 to about £100 (normally the armour is extra) generally the style is either regular jeans look or some sort of camo/cargo pants type, check for double stitching on the seams and general construction, but most are fine.

I will make the point like all motorbike gear, Function should far out weight form, once this stuff has saved an arm, leg or even your life, you'll not want it any other way.

* it's a brand name, don't let anyone shoot you to prove a point........

Cheers Mark.
