Default first accident :( need to identify this part

So I'm new to motorcycles and just had my first accident
No injuries (to me)
I was showing my friend my motorcycle in a parking lot behind my fraternity. I was riding back and fourth w/o a problem. then when i rode across the lot on a different side I ran into three consecutive potholes with gravel at the bottom that i couldnt see until i was close to them. I thought oh ****, tried to ride through them and fell... either because I am such a novice or just because potholes are tough to handle, I fell at approximately 15 to 20 MPH. not much damage was done to the bike thanks to the frame sliders. but the part of the frame which the foot break and foot rest is attached to broke. I'm including a picture here and I would really appreciate if you guys can help me identify the part.

and here is a close up

I'm also wondering if i need to buy this part or if i can mend it (soldering). Basically the bottom half of the hole where the footrest is attached snapped off, where you see the red line is where I would have it stuck back together. so the footrest and brake came loose but they are in working condition and will be fine once reattached.

Thanks a lot for any help,

Ed

It will be difficult to repair as the alloy is fairly cheap and not easy to weld. You need a new right side front footrest hanger plate. All the parts bolted to it look fine so you'll need to swop bits from old to new.

That looks like a naked bike's footrest hanger, but your bike appears to have an S fairing on it. Do US market S model bikes have UK style N hanger plates?

EDIT: I just checked on Ron Ayer's site, and US model N and S have the same hangers. The part number given above appears to be correct.

In the UK our faired and unfaired models have different hangers to give the faired bike a sportier footrest position and the naked bike a more relaxed one.

Thats reffered to as a "Rearset" so in that case it will be the nearside rearset or if you buy in this country the offside rearset. Personally i would replace it as its sucha critical part safety wise.
