Need some assistance to point me in the right direction.
Engine on my daughter's van seized today. It is a Fiat Ducato 1.9 straight diesel (no turbo - but not worried if replacement is turbo) so I need to try to find a replacement engine, I have no idea where to start. FWIW it is the same engine as fitted to Citroen Relay and Peugeot Boxer vans If some of the oily fingered types on here can give me a steer on how to find an engine, prices etc would be very grateful.

Or any of the other similar pages. Ultimately its just saves you ringing round the salvage yars yourselves which means you eventually end up dealing with said salvage yards. You have to make your own judgement with regards to the ppl you eventually buy from. GL |

If it's a car generally it will be under the bonnet. If you are rich then you may be able to afford a car that has the engine in the boot (I know, bear with me). Go around to the back of the car and look in the boot (just to be sure if you are rich or not). If you own a bike, look under the seat.

Echange and Robbery, or as said Autotrader (paper versions of both) they used to have a lot of adverts for Engine rebuilders etc. It aint going to be cheap. I would also give Fiat a call. A friend recently had his engine sieze on his Vauxhall Movano. It turned out that Vauxhall do Exchange engines, and they where, in reative terms, not as expensive as he thought.

I'd look in the bonnet first.
