Default brake caliper bleed nipple size

hi

I'm about to upgrade my brakes to braided lines and sintered pads and to make it easier thought i'd use speed bleed nipples. Used them once before and they're awesome.

What size is the thread tho? I don't want to have to take one out to measure!

Cheers

Stu

I don't know, but do you know what pitch the banjo bolt is?

After much research I have determined that they are M7 x 1.0.

Sorry but don't know pitch of the banjo bolt.

Thanks

They are Tokico callipers so they are M7 x 1.00 for the bleed nipples.

Unfortunately I have found that it is a little inconsistent, for all the SV I have serviced ('99-'0 about 90% have had M10 x 1.00 and the odd 10% had M10 x 1.25. This is comparing bikes of the same year too.

That's weird. Oh well, I'll just have to measure it when I take it off

Aye, tell me about it. The irregularity comes with the Pointy's, all the Curvy's have been fine (1.00) pitch. I think Suzuki are throwing what ever is left now with the same bore and stoke and they are all jumbled in the same parts bin.
