Sounds like the battery is going flat. Try a recharge on Optimate.

Sounds like a flat battery. Possibly because of weather and starting it too many times yesterday. It takes a fair few minutes of riding to recharge what the battery's lost from starting it.
Batteries can go past their best after 3 years. Beaten twice.. must type faster...

Yes
Undo the two allen key bolts on the infill panels directly under the seat, then pop the panels off. That'll expose the seat bolts, undo those and then lift the seat off and you should see the battery, I cant remember on the K5 if theres a little plastic tray over the battery or not, there might be so you'll need to lift it off. Its really easy to do.

Do you have access to a zapper pack??
You know.. the jumper lead jobbie in a big yellow pack. I have one and don't have a charger. If mines flat and I'm going to be going on a good run I just stick red on starter boot, and other on frame to jump it into life, I know some may not endorse it but i've never had issues doing it. Just a thought if your in a hurry
