Bike down

Woke up this morning, bike was on it's side. Doubt it was windy enough to blow it over last night as we've hard far bigger gales than last night....so I'm assuming some scrote pushed it over.

Luckily the Oxford stormex seems to have avoided stuff scratching and the R&G bung on the offside has the rubber a little squashed but doesn't appear to be bent.

The front brake lever is OK and the Dl-650 handguard is also OK, so looks like I got away with it.

Exhaust is OK too surprisingly, thought that might have taken a dent.

Anything else I should be checking?

Does it start up and run ok? what about the gear shift lever? take it for a run and see how it goes

unlucky son! glad to hear there's not too much damage though... I've just noticed our green wheely bin is over in the back garden, and there were severe weather warnings on the met office yesterday - could well have been wind? A specific gust from a certain direction could have been enough to just push it past the centre of gravity and down onto the offside maybe?

Could be worth trying to bungee it to something maybe?

It was very windy last night, and bike covers are good parachutes for pulling bikes over!

Park it in gear so it's less inclined to roll off the stand.

Our wheelie bin was over too, however it was completely empty, the bike was parked up with full lock on to the left, whereas it was lying on it's right-hand side...if it was wind, it must have been blinking strong. The cover was wet and tied underneath so although I appreciate they can fill with wind and pull the bike over, I'm not so sure.

Anyway, couldn't take her out today as had to do some Chrimbo shopping etc.

Parked her up tonight tight against the fence and parked the car right up to it so no wind/scrotes can knock her over.

Started her up and she sounded a bit throatey, but that might just be my imagination.

Lucky that there's no real obvious damage.

Unlucky, but twas WELL windy later on last night. From 12 - 0230 ish.

Might be worth getting a strap or rope to go round the cover. My stormex filled with air and dragged by sv over last year, ever since I got a strap to go round it, it's been fine.

Once the cover is full of air it'll quite happily pull a bike off it's stand!
