Default I hit a bird or something!

on a duel carriageway while doing 70ish . saw a blur flying out across from the left tree line, the thing hit the LHS front and rolled into my left arm then disappeared!

Left a grease mark and one feather suck to paint work...

no idea if the thing lived...

I followed a guy on a TeDiuM last year when a kamikaze pheasant destroyed his fairing and ripped out the clocks. A good £600 worth. TBH I was amazed he stayed upright. My first sight was the bike in front disintegrating before my eyes and a huge lump flying through the air.

I got pelted with plastic ,blood, guts and feathers. But at least my damage washed off. I followed him with a smashed up bike for a mile into a car park to check he was all right. He said he was. but I know if it was me I would have been crying and trying to work out how to tell the wife that her holiday was off.

Personally I have been hit with woody's twice. Big fat ones that want to knock your head off. First time I bought a new lid. second time I thought sod it and cleaned it.

But both times not enough woody left to give a couple of nice breasts as an appetizer. poached with a bit of red wine and served with a few juniper berries on a slice of brioche bread with a few proper mushies

Pheasants must be kamikazi birds. I had one do exactly the same to me years back, I had a headache for 3 days after

sounds like you got off lightly there lucas - years ago I headbutted a pigeon and dropped my bike, and i seem to recall Supervox getting some bird guts wedged into his fairing and cooking on the engine a while ago...

Thanks, thinking back I was very lucky only to pick up a feather and greasy marks during this brief meeting with wildlife.

From seeing the blur, hearing the knock and feeling the impact as the bird thing hit my SV at 80 and then tumbling into my arm and knocking it of the LH bars (could be worst if it was the RH...), sending SV and myself into a unnerving wobble, felt like a life time, all happen in seconds...

By the sound of everyone experiences, these birds are as accurate as those ‘javelin missiles’ at a faction of the cost. The army should consider training these birds instead and save tax payer’s money, oh, and its organic too!

yum, grilled venison with road salt, fresh off a SV radiator

Default First Bambi - then Thumper

A few years back a rabbit took a dive under the front wheel of my old RS250 - just as I was swinging it into a sharp bend. I was off and sliding on my **** in about a nanosecond - mangled fairings and a bent fork to boot.
