Would that be overkill/look really carp?
I fitted a (Pyramid) hugger recently as well as an R&G tail tidy (although didn't fit that very well!), however, now I have one of these puppies... ![]() and it's getting carp all over it from muck off the back tyre. I was thinking of putting the snow shovel oem mudguard back on as well as the hugger (hugger to protect the shock etc a bit more), would that look really bad? I appreciate it's up to me in the end of the day, however interested if anyone else has done something like this? |

The hugger doesn't stop muck being flung up behind the bike, it only covers the rear shock area. To stop the problem you are describing they best thing to do is put the OEM snow shovel back on, I keep the OEM undertray on my Curvy's for this very reason.
As you said, its your decision, and if practicality out weighs aesthetics then go for it. |

Thanks for your response Dave, as I said, ultimately it's my decision, but wondered if it's gonna look daft!
Looks like I'll be selling my R&G tail tidy.... |

Huggers are mainly cosmetic tbh, or at least they are on the curvy, the standard crap flap does the job well enough.

Aye, at protecting the bike but I find the Pyramid hugger on my Curvy's prevent a little of that crap from building up on the back of my lower legs and boots.

Hmm, not a problem i've ever had but I can see how it could happen, guess riding positions etc would make the difference there.
