Default Hugger old and new

looking at a brand new hugger in a shop thats closing down the yeterday...

It was the same as the one on an 03 curvey.... So left it on the shelf... When i got home i had a look at my bike and i am sure it will fut my 53 pointy.

Does anyone out there know if this will fit before i waste my money....

There was technically no 03 curvy. Only 02 and earlier curvys that were late registered.

If it said for an 03 model then it should be for your bike IMO.

thats the thing.... it says nothing at all on it but is the same as the one on the 03 in the shop! I guess that means the 03 is infact an 02(or something) and therefore a different hugger.... Is it that the holes are in the wrong place or something for the pointy?

I believe on a pointy there are no hole to position the hugger to and that you need a fastener around the swingarm to keep it in place.

i looked at the swing arm on mine last night and there are two holes on one side that hold the chain guard on and one on the other side.... Cant remember what that was holding....

The only one i didnt look for was the one between the tire and shock.

On a K3, there are two holes on the left side (where the chain guard goes on), one just behind the shock, and one where the clamp for the brake line is. Use these holes to bolt the hugger down.

Indeed...
The one made by RedFox is a good fit and uses most of those bolting points to secure it in place.
