Default wheel spin thing (for rotating wheel)

hey

has anyone got one of those wheel spin devices? i am looking to get one insteadd of a stand to do chain stuff and clean wheel etc. reason being is i live on 10th floor flat and can'tr be bothered to take a stand downstairs all the time plus it is small enough to take down my old birds house where i go to clean the bike. seen one for 35 notes which seems good value.

any help that isn't 'get an abba stand you moron' appreciated.

No, this is a small block with bearings/rollers in it. You stick the back wheel on it and it lets you spin the rear wheel without it sticking to the floor. Think of a dyno without the measuring bit.

Some even let you spin the back end of the bike around to turn the whole bike through 180 degrees.

any good or are they a pain to use? or just simply rubbish?

was gonna leave a stand at ma's house but also gets tiresome lubing the chain by moving it a bit at a time. figured that this wheel bearing thing may be a good comprimise. anyone had any experience. if they are really poop then will have to save for abba stand.

A mate has the ball bearing one and he uses it weekly for the same reason as you. Its no substitute for a paddock satnd but does what it says on the tin.
