It's just a simple bit of rubber tubing. But is there anywhere that sells them with the cap as well? Or just a case of use what you got?

Had one like that on my RD rear brake for years - my tube was only about 3" long with a bolt in the end and a jubilee clip - never had any problems with it ! Not very high tech, but it worked.

Depends on the type of tube

Yep, your pic at the top is the HRC kit, same as the one I use. 3 years old and still spot on, and it comes with the best disclaimer EVER, basically along the lines of "Using this on a road bike is illegal, unsafe, immoral, unwise, causes birth defects and global warming"

Nah, because it looks mint and the standard rear reservoir is a pain in the balls to get to. Oh, and I wanted to make the subframe easier to remove, but that was just a side effect really, I just like how it looks and works.

Yup, that's the one. It sweated a non-corrosive fluid for a couple of days... It wasn't pure brake fluid, didn't melt the paint on the subframe, and then stopped. I don't really know what that was all about, tiny quantities though- enough to dampen a paper towel but not enough to really be wet.
