How about we make an effort this year?

you know folks taking a look around these other regional groups actually do stuff.. we do nothing as a BIG group.. i say lets make an effort this year. lets organise something regularly.. might be once every 2 months or whatever.. but we do nothing.. you can hardly call us a group..

MIGTS.. ive been on here almost 2 years.. and i think the origenal namers must of left by then.. most of us no nothing about who named it.. what it really means.. behind the actual words..

Pete and I have posted rides, Binky has posted rides, but the response has been pretty much zero. 'Too far' is the usual cry!

Well, we have a bike we want to ride, we want to do more than 50 miles, and we want to be out all day. We do events organisd by other sections, because the people there at least seem to actually ride their bikes.

Harsh? Maybe................but well deserved the way this section has been over the last year or so.

would like to meet up with peeps but do need advanced warning i.e. 3 weeks or more so baby sitting can be sorted.

this is i mean lissa, we need ti get stuck in. i also think someone needs to take the time to run it.. id be happy to do it but id need the support of the group, mind you if anyone else fancied it they could do it, im not looking to be the leader of the pack so to speak but its really Sh** in here, and i want to change it!!

as for distance....not to much of a problem. I tend to take the long way home from work so I get a few more miles in. (20 mile instead of 6) oops that wrong turn keeps happening.

Have you tried a user map like the TV section? so that you know who you're members are and where's close if people are sying too far. For a new section the TV lot seem really active. (or maybe that's why they are active )

The problem is, there don't seem to be that many active people in this section. One of the mods hasn't been online for 2 years!

The other problem is the large area covered by the group. Pete and I are happy to travel 50+ miles just to get to the start of a rideout, but if others won't do that, you're ****** basically

I'll make the effort if theres an organised rideout, i can drag my Dad along on his SV and stay with him!! Just make sure the sun is shining though
