Question after ban

when i was a young lad i was very stupid and was banned for drink driving (dr10) i served my ban (20 months) and have definatly learned my lesson.
my question is i know i have to inform my insurance company about my ban and have done for the last few years, but when can i stop, when does it get removed from my licence and does the removal time start from my ban date or when i got my licence back. also insurance company's ask for a 5 year history does this work by the same timescales. thanks of your help could save me a fortune

if it was more than 5 years ago I dont think you'll have to declare it, but I guess it'll depend on your insurance company and what they'll ask you for.

You'll have to find the code list from DVLA, different offences are have different lengths of time..

Sorry fella
