Default Sealey tools

Are Sealey tools good quality or are they slightly more budget?

Reason I ask is 'cos I found this and I think it's a bloody good deal.

Just wondering if there's a reason it's so cheap.

I used their piston pliers. They broke. Though I don't think they were designed for the seriously seized nature of my rear caliper pistons at the time...

Couldn't speak for the rest of the range, though...

Well my Dad's never heard of them but reckons they'll be ok for general maintenance.

Still to have a look at Screwfix and Machine Mart

Seally are very good imho my dad only ever broke one of thier spanners but iot was a 14mm and we has a 6 foot bar on it to lever it.. we cant blame it for that!

Your possibly better off actually buying the tools you need, over time, but its not a bad place to start!

Sealy are good in my expierence, and that set is good value. I have a few sealy items that i have abused over time and they keep coming back for more.

The fit of the sockets is good as are the spanners.

Watch the Screwfix own brand stuff, some of it made by decent label manufacturers for us and re-badged, but some of it is utter sh*te...

I have a sealey tools compressor. Not had much work but seems okay. See what clarkes price is or draper. Most of my tools are one or t'other

the only Sealey product I have is my vacuum bleeder. T'is OK, nothing special. I guess that is par for the course with Sealey. They ain't Snap-on, Mac etc. But neither are they awful trash.

I would guess with the OP link, most of the cost is in the box, and not the tools
